Ordination

​Ordination is the recognition and confirmation of God’s call upon an individual for ministry of the Gospel.  The message to the ordination candidate is the same, “We believe you are called and worthy of your position.”  Ordination is an acknowledgment of a certain role within the body of Christ and does not confer special spiritual power or authority.  It is the verification that this person meets the qualifications of church leadership according the standards of God’s Word.  Lastly, ordination also affirms the calling of the authorizing church that it is calling a gifted person to fill a position of leadership.
